Martin Sandberg Kærgaard

Design-anthropology by skill, technology by heart

Martin main interests lies in developing and experimenting with new contributions to the way we execute design-thinking in IdemoLab’s work and how we design technology for human lifepractices. Specially in the notion of electronic sketching, how we can use physical design-suggestions as more than just a verification tool in a design process to learn more about the designfield the artefact will meet in the real world in all scales from everyday human interaction to a societal level.

Martin has an academic background in communication and IT from University of Copenhagen focusing on new design-frameworks and performative methods when designing tech-products with humans – for humans. When not saving the world of design in IdemoLab, Martin is working part-time as a professional bassplayer for various different Danish artists and likes to compose music in his small basement studio..

When not working, Martin is sometimes engaged in TEDxCopenhagen with curation and planning, enjoys DJ’ing nineties RnB music with his friends, slushy natural wine and sailing “The Lemon” – the small family sailboat.
